If you’re looking for an opportunity to take a vacation and gain insights on your business at the same time, join us in April in Mexico.

We’re staying at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, April 17-24. It’s an all-inclusive hotel; all food, drinks, activities and gratuities are included in the room rate. There won’t be any formal training, but we’ll hold a roundtable discussion and enjoy dinners together. It’s an opportunity to spend time with others in the industry and have fun at the same time. Michael is almost always available to talk.

Details on the hotel:

Tucked into a secluded tropical paradise on Puerto Vallarta’s romantic Las Estacas Beach, Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is surrounded by the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Boasting the region’s only private cloistered beach-cove, the resort creates the perfect backdrop for guests seeking a romantic getaway, a family reconnection, or a special celebration. The architecturally inspired resort complements its dramatic setting, as well as the nearby colonel town of Puerto Vallarta with its cobblestone streets, authentic craft shops, and rich history. Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is less than 20 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport.

FAQ’s from the hotel, and Covid updates here. Other questions, send me a note.

Covid-19 considerations: Masks are required in the resort, with temperature checks. More information on the safety measures taken by the resort is available here.

At this time, the U.S. requires proof of a negative Covid-19 test before returning to the states; the hotel offers a free test taken 3 days before leaving. Like everything else, this is subject to change. Details here.

This is the second time I’ve done the cruise with Michael and Devon. Being from New England it’s always great to get away from the winter for a while at this time of the year. But more important for me was the opportunity to work on my business at the beginning of the year. To get refocused and recharged about what lays ahead and how I can best prepare for it. Michaels’ depth of knowledge and years of experience allow him to really speak with authority. He is direct and candid but, he also brings clarity about how to approach… Read more »

Bob, I am planning on going on this cruise, flying out of Logan. Could you help me out with some logistics?

I truly felt a major shift in business after attending the cruise last year. By fall of this year most of the learning had worn off and I found myself in reactionary mode dealing with tough customers and employee issues. As the new conference approached, I wondered whether we would attend the following year. I honestly felt like we were in a pretty good place. The conference proved otherwise. Michael’s conferences are an incredible opportunity to refocus and recommit to running your business profitably. Learning how to be your best is not a one and done ordeal. Like an onion… Read more »

What an amazing experience! Having worked with Michael for several years we expected to have fun with he and Devon but what we weren’t prepared for were the many opportunities to connect with others in the industry. It was refreshing to spend time talking with contractors from all over the country and discussing challenges and solutions as well as share victories. The training topics were spot on and provided us with invaluable insight into what is and isn’t working right now in our business and being able to give all of our attention to what we were learning was priceless.… Read more »

My wife and I also had the pleasure of attending the cruise. I agree with what others have said. One thing I found extremely valuable was the time we got to spend with other business owners. I had attending one of Michael’s classes as a goal for this year. When I saw the cruise, I thought that would be more fun than heading somewhere in the US for a couple of days. The time of interaction with other contractors during our seven day trip was an unexpected surprise. We had lunch and dinner with a number of others during that… Read more »

I’m not sure how long ago it was that I first meet Michael. But I have spoken with him in person and on the phone over an extended time. But I’ve only to this point spoken to Devon in email and on the phone. It was a pleasure to finally meet Devon in person. It was nice to get to put a name and a face together in person. Our experience was very gratifying. We found the training sessions to be the high point of the cruise. My lady and I had good lively conversations after each days training. And… Read more »

Fantastic experience! While this is the third time I’ve intently listened to Michael and learned so much, this was the first time I was able to get both my wife and son to attend; they were captivated, as well! For me, having all of us–the key business members–there to hear the concepts that I have been incorporating allowed us to have very lively and focused discussions immediately afterwards, something that was definitely made more possible by being at sea. I noticed that most of the other attendees were there with their spouses, too. As such, I suggest that the curriculum… Read more »
