We Like to See The Good Guys Win!

by Michael Stone

Are you feeling it? Brian Tracy mentioned in a recent newsletter that we are all in overload almost every day in today's business world. The prognosis is that for most, it is going to continue. The only way to keep overload from giving you a bad hair day is to take full control of what you are doing and how you are doing it.

First, plan each day. Prioritize what needs to be done and then do it. Devon's favorite saying is on a card that hangs in our office - "Be like a postage stamp. Stick to one thing until you get there." (Henry Wheeler Shaw)

Then learn to say no. Plain and simple…NO. If it is not on your schedule, don't do it.

If you have employees, make them earn their pay. Don't do their thinking for them. Hold them accountable to do the job you are paying them to do. Don't get involved because it just eats up your time.

Take some time for you, which includes time for your spouse and your family. As the old saying goes, "There is nothing so urgent today that it won't be more urgent tomorrow."

Thanks so much Michael. Exactly what I was telling you this morning that I am feeling. Really working on prioritizing the important stuff and saying no or later to the less important stuff. Thanks so much for your support and words of wisdom! Mitch
