I was talking with one of our coaching clients this morning about promoting his company. He had investigated purchasing an extended warranty program for his remodeling work from an insurance company that specializes in those policies.
We did the math. Based on his current sales to leads ratio and the average size of his jobs, he estimates that purchasing one policy at a cost of $200 would help him sell enough additional jobs to net almost $8,800 this year. That is a no brainer.
This type of forward thinking is what it takes to keep you and your company out in front of the “competition” that is giving their work away, trying to sell their services based on price. Our client understands that he can address his customer’s fears by providing an additional warranty on his work.
