We are only five short months away from deer and elk hunting seasons. It is not too soon to remind your employees that if they want time off for hunting season, now is the time to get those dates on the schedule.
Last fall, I heard several owners complain about employees wanting time off to go hunting. The employees waited until the week before season opened to announce they would be gone for the week. Guess how that affected the production of jobs in progress?
This problem comes up every year. It would be prudent to deal with the issue now and set the standard you want employees to follow if they want to remain with the company.
